Let’s talk about goals. For a long time, I was super specific about what I wanted to create and manifest. I saw a beautiful result in my life — but I felt a bit obsessed with ‘doing’ and not ‘living.’ So I let off the reins a bit and decided to live life for a few years. Right now, I am ready to re-commit to a goal-setting process.
Here are my 7 tips for effective goal setting:
1. Examine your why
Why do you want what you want? Get very specific about the reason because you’ll need to come back to it regularly when things get tough and you want to give up. As you know, the why is the key.
2. Feel it
How can you live in the feeling that you have achieved these goals right now? This can help you really notice when you’re playing small or making excuses. I tend to think, ‘Well I don’t have time for that, or I can’t do that because of x, y, z…’
This practice helps me realize what my limiting beliefs are. Once I am able to identify them, I can work with them through meditation, journaling, therapy, or simply with mindfulness. I like to take five minutes a day to really feel what it would be like to have achieved the goals I set – a la Joe Dispenza style.
3. Schedule
What type of schedule for your day reflects your goals? How can you adjust your schedule today to better reflect where you want to be? In addition, what kind of schedule works best with your personal goal-setting style?

4. Seek community and support
What conversations do you need to have and with whom to reinforce your goals?
5. Let go
Ask for support from your spirit team to help you reach your goals. Lean into their guidance and messages as you work your way through to your next level.
6. Prioritize yourself
Get clear on what needs to happen in the calendar to reflect your priorities. Block off time, make your schedule work for you, and be serious about creating space in your life for what you want.
7. A huge point
Our coach Aaron Rose says, “Big change is made in small moments. The power of having a daily devotional moment with your goals cannot be understated. Even if you’re taking three minutes to see yourself reaching millions more people, or 30 minutes to sit with your creative work (even if you ‘don’t produce very much’ that day), that adds up dramatically over time. This is about getting your brain into a state where you’re not waiting for permission or putting off things that call to you, and you’re instead moving as if it’s part of your reality right now.”
It’s time to re-commit to the goal-setting process and embrace what is meant for us. Comment below with what goals you’ll be prioritizing for the rest of 2021!
