Our Day with Jenna Kutcher
We caught her at the height of her podcast tour for her new book (eeeeee!!), How Are You, Really?. She decided to create both a baby and a book at the same time, a process she gushes about with us on the podcast today. Approaching this process with such heart, intimacy, and clarity, she really showed us what is possible when your priorities are RIGHT.
I saw what it really takes to do what she does, while always being who she really is and I’ll never forget it.
TBH, she had every reason not to be 100% present with us during our time together, but I swear to goddd, this woman changed how I embody presence. All truths existed at once, integrated and real.
She was promoting her new book on podcasts from 9 am – 5 pm every day for a week, pumping in between so she could breastfeed her new little angel, Quinn, when she got home, singing Coco to sleep with her hubby Drew via Facetime, and giving us some quality girl time in the form of dinner, laughs, and sharing so many learnings she’s had this year alone.
It didn’t feel like balance — it felt like truth.

Before our eyes, she was riding the wave of her life from moment to moment, and I was mesmerized. There was no faking it when it was hard or downplaying of the major accomplishments. She can hold such a spectrum of emotion and experience and still be where she is and stay true to her heart’s expression. Like, can you tell I love this woman?!!
At one point over dinner with Jenna and Krista at Cafe Gratitude in Venice, I heard a part of me say, “Remember this…”. I wanted to remember this moment of joy and really take in why I was feeling so good. What it was about this relationship and connection that made me feel more myself, more energized, and more motivated to do what I want to do in life.
So for y’all, I sat down and crystalized what it is about Jenna that leaves us better than when she found us!
1. She is generous with what she has learned and how she got here.
Jenna is incredibly open with anyone who asks about her process, the BTS of her brand and team, or fulfilling her dreams in big ways. She lives from abundance and truly believes there is room for everyone to shine their brightest.
2. She loves to cheer people on in a real way.
Before we were friends IRL, we were IG friends and she is the kind that consistently cheered us on at all stages of our growth and gave genuine support at our highs and lows.
An outsider might think that we are “competitors,” but honestly, we are better because of each other.
3. She doesn’t sugarcoat what is challenging and is okay not doing it all.
In short, she keeps it real. Jenna is wildly successful AND is a human being with daily points of friction as a mom, wife, business owner, and woman in the world. Naturally, challenges arise.
She is always so honest about what she doesn’t know and what is in process. She really owns the spectrum of her daily life.
4. She is clear with her priorities.
She says no A LOT. The type of no that feels good to the one receiving it. You feel she is making the best decision for her and her family in that moment and there is no room to question it.
When she shows up, her presence is palpable and she truly makes people feel seen and so special. I’m inspired by people who make what is important to them on a Soul level a priority.
5. She owns and celebrates her successes.
I love that Jenna is genuinely proud of what she has built and all that she has accomplished. She honors the team that supports her in making that happen and gives herself proper praise and acknowledgment. Jenna doesn’t dim her light in order to make others comfortable.
She stands in her light so others are inspired to see and stand in their own.

Sooo many reasons to love her—I could go on and on, but I want you to experience it for yourself.
